Security pundit reports that in 1999, one in 1400 emails had viruses attached, and predicts that by 2015, three in four will. He goes on to predict that by the year 2008, the Internet will become functionally useless. Unless, of course, something is done. Something about this whole article reminds me of Xeno’s Arrow — you can proove and proove all you want that the arrow will never hit the tree, or that the Internet will collapse under its own weight, but the arrow does hit the tree and the Internet muddles through, somehow.
